Lombok Investor Editorial Desk — sourcing for property and business coverage

Lombok Investor covers property, tourism business and the Mandalika economic zone on Lombok. This page explains how the desk sources and dates what it publishes.

What Lombok coverage has to get right

Lombok’s investment story splits into two very different tracks and conflating them produces bad decisions. One is ordinary property in the established south-coast tourism belt, governed by normal land law and normal licensing. The other is the Mandalika special economic zone, where land is administered by the zone operator, tenure is typically a right-to-use arrangement rather than freehold, and incentives come with conditions. Our pages keep them apart and state which regime a given opportunity sits under.

How we check what we publish

Title class and certificate detail are checked against the National Land Agency record; zoning and permitted use against the regional spatial plan; business licensing and foreign ownership limits against the OSS system and the current investment negative-list position. Zone-specific terms are taken from the zone operator’s own published conditions. Every figure and every rule on this site carries the date we last confirmed it, because incentive terms in particular change.

What we do not claim

We are not licensed investment advisers, notaries or lawyers, and we publish no individual credential on this site. Nothing here is a recommendation to invest. Verify title independently and engage a licensed PPAT and your own counsel before committing funds.

Which regime applies to you

Tell us the area you are looking at via the contact page; zone land and ordinary land are answered differently.
